Hollywood Weekly says,

"MEET THE NEW JERRY MAGUIRE OF HOLLYWOOD!"

BY JENNY WERTH - OCT. 2015

The age old question, "Why can't we all just get along?!" is on Franco Masada's mind. And he's on a mission to address the problem and help solve it by bringing more love and harmony into Hollywood and the world, one film at a time.

Franco's films aim to change the society's environment of 'negativity' into one of love and he's starting with his film 'The Birthright'.

"I feel that I have a message to bring to the world. I believe that I'm here to shift the world, through film, music & fashion. My films are all about having a message of integrity, love and redemption", says Franco.

Indeed the question begs to be asked: "Franco, where do you get the energy and the ability to persevere with all you do,  and have done through all the years?" His answer is quite simple: "God."

EVENTS IN THE INDUSTRY - FILM FESTIVALS

What is 168 Film?

Founded in 2003, the 168 Film Project is an incubator for writers and filmmakers to explore scripture and to practice their craft. The 168 Film Project challenge to filmmakers worldwide is to draw a random scripture and in just 168 hours (7 days) shoot and edit a short film. In the Write of Passage competition, writers craft a 12-page script in 168 hours.

International Filmmaking/Screenwriting Competitions

168 Film Project

This is our signature speed filmmaking competition. Speed Film teams have 168 hours (7x24) to shoot and edit a short film based on a theme and a Bible verse (pre-production lasts 10 days). "Non-Speed" categories can begin much earlier. Tens of thousands of filmmakers have completed over 1,000 films since 2003. Speed films are produced over US Memorial Day Weekend (late May).
